What is KMC Racing league?
We like to race!
KMC North American Racing League is a VERY small group of people dedicated to at least one day per week (Sunday mornings right now) of simulated NASCAR Racing using the popular Papyrus NASCAR Racing 4 software.
We race because we like to go fast and have fun, but unfortunately that's illegal in most states and none of us have the money to start our own NASCAR team. So...we make due with racing on the internet every weekend.
We do however take this somewhat seriously, we do spend time setting up cars and practicing for Race Day (well some of us do some of the time).NASCAR Racing 4 is one of the best, if not THE best NASCAR racing simulations out there (Okay NASCAR Racing 2003 is the best but...try and find a copy of THAT for a fair price these days!). Practice and a decent set up is required if you plan to be competitive.
If you would like to join us in a race or a season (we'd be glad to have you), you will need the following:
- A copy of NASCAR Racing 4 updated with the latest patch
- A steering wheel and pedal set up (sorry it's too dangerous with the keyboard)
- A highspeed internet connection (good DSL will work, Cable is preffered)
- About 2 hours free every Sunday morning, from about 8am eastern to 10:30am
- A desire to have fun, but be serious about it too!
- Any skill level from pro to absolute novice. We'll help you learn if you need it, and we'll learn from you if you don't!
You can contact me by email and we can set you up with the information that you will need to join us.

We do have some general rules that we follow:
- There will be 1 races per week, we follow no schedual but go through the races in the order that they appear in the game (alphabetical)
- Races are run at 93% difficulty (for this season)*
- Races are run with damage turned off (for this season)*
- We run 30% of the official race length**
- 15 minutes of practice before qualifying for the race
- There is no warm up period after qualifying
- You are free to set up your car any way you wish (IE no fixed set ups)
- Although there is no specific rule against aggressive driving, it is frowned upon! You must approach and pass all human drivers with care and avoid unnecessary contact. It is understood that contact is not always avoidable, but you should try to avoid it. Be prepared to face the wrath of other drivers in the next race should you cross over the line!
- Have fun, but don't piss anyone off too much...they'll probably pay you back at some point!
*The difficulty level is raised at the beggining of every season, therefor next season will be most likely 2% higher. We are working towards racing on a regular basis at 100%. If your a novice this is NOT going to be easy.
**This is just enough to require at LEAST on pit stop on almost every track. This makes you have to be a little conservative so that you can save some rubber for the end of the race.
